Trials - Fantaswim
Please note: The login information for Fantaswim differs from your Swimnetwork.com login information. We are working to integrate the two, but for now we apologize for any inconvenience.
Have you ever wanted to enter a fantasy swimming competition? Do you want to show your friends, colleagues, and competitors that you know swimming better than they do? Do you just enjoy giving yourself more reason to cheer on your favorite athletes? Call it fantasy swimming, call it you-pick-em swimming, call it a swimming bracket, call it what you will, but throw out your preconceived notions of typical fantasy sports. This is swimming - the best there is, and we are proud to give you a "fantasy swimming competition" for the entire international swimming community.
Fantaswim is completely free. Register now to play - United States Swimming Olympic Team Trials registration is now available.
How FantaSwim Works:
- Register a username with a valid email address and your password will be sent to your email address for you to log in.
- If this is your first-time playing Fantaswim, scroll over the Fantaswim tab and select "Upcoming Competitions." This is where you will find all the competitions that are available for playing.
- Select the competition you wish to play from the list of upcoming competitions.
- Choose the events, one at a time, and select who you think will win gold, silver, and bronze. Your picks will not be set in stone. You have the ability to change your picks as often as you like up until the day's prelim session has begun (the start date noted for that event). This gives you opportunity to appraise your favorite swimmer's performance on a daily basis and make changes as you feel you need.
- If there is a swimmer that you do not see on the list and want to select, leave their names in the comments and they can be added.
- Some events may ask you to pick the event's winning time. This feature will be used as a tie-breaker for Fantaswim in the event of a tie between players at the end of the competition.
- Once the meet/event starts, sit back, keep an eye on who is winning what event and log into Fantaswim to watch your point score grow event by event as your favorite stars win.
How FantaSwim is Scored
- 5 points for picking the gold medalist correctly
- 3 points for picking the silver medalist correctly
- 2 points for picking the bronze medalist correctly
- 1 point for picking a swimmer to medal, but not choosing the correct medal
- There are two tie-breakers if necessary and users get 5 points for being the closest to picking the correct time
